Participants

We welcome paddlers of all ages and abilities. The minimum age is 12 years and customers should be in normal good health and prepared for the moderate exertion of stand up paddleboarding and possible swimming. We will provide a full array of safety gear for every customer on this trip.

Craft

This is a Stand Up Paddleboard activity. Though, a mix of stand up paddleboards and inflatable kayaks is possible for groups in which not all members wish to paddleboard.

Cancellation Policy

Reservation cancellation more than 2 weeks before trip date receives a refund minus 10% of trip cost. Less than two weeks before trip date forfeits deposit. A “no-show” on the day of the trip voids any refund. A cancellation within 24hrs or a “no-show” on the day of the trip will result in full-payment and forfeit any refund.

Overview

We welcome beginners and experts on this paddleboard float down our Scenic half-day section. The Class I-II rapids of this stretch will take on new meaning as you navigate your way through them on your own SUP.

The safe and easy Class I-II rapids of this stretch will take on new meaning as you navigate your way through them on your own SUP. Take in the views as you float through the large, open canyon, allowing scenic views of towering basalt cliffs, high desert ecosystems, and a lush riverside habitat.

We meet at our Far Flung Riverside location, located 15 miles south of Taos, New Mexico, on State Highway 68-mile marker 28), at 8:15 A.M. or 12:15 P.M. After meeting, we will load up in our van and head to our put-in, located several miles up the river. We will provide you will all necessary safety equipment as well as instructions on how to correctly maneuver your paddleboard.

From there, it will be a relaxing float through the meanders and splashes of the Orilla Verde section, known for its tranquility, wildlife viewing, and birding opportunities. The large, open canyon allows scenic views of the towering basalt cliffs, high desert ecosystems, and a lush riverside habitat.
