Looking for a fantastic fall river trip? Look no further.
Welcome to the booking platform for Go Big Bend and it’s cooperative effort with Far Flung Adventures – Taos, New Mexico, the River Music series Canyons of the Big Bend
Beginning in the early 1980’s the original Far Flung Adventures began their Texas River Music Series on the lower Rio Grande outside of Terlingua, Texas. Although Far Flung Adventures in Taos, New Mexico no longer operates in that area, we have teamed up with outfitter Go Big Bend with a mind to give the canyons of the Big Bend a few more serenades.
This year choose from two tremendous acts to accompany you and your group down the river:
Miles Zuniga is a Grammy nominated recording artist and songwriter. He started Fastball in 1994 with Tony Scalzo and Joey Shuffield. The trio had a smash hit with “The Way” in 1998. Miles has written several songs with other artists including Spoon and the Dandy Warhols.
“EXUBERENTLY SOULFUL” – The Austin Chronicle
Patrice Pike burst on to the music scene as the electric front woman for the seminal Austin jam band Sister Seven. She co-wrote and sang Sister Sevens top 10 Billboard hit Know What You Mean and Richard Skanse for Rolling Stone Magazine called her “Tina Turner, Bessie Smith, Janis Joplin, and Robert Plant all rolled up into a tiny but explosive package.” In 2007 she became the youngest member of the Austin/Texas Music Hall of Fame, inducted alongside Lucinda Williams.
