Join our local expert guides on this human and natural history excursion on a breathtaking loop trail that will take you from the top of the gorge and into the heart of the Wild Rivers area of the Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument, along the Rio Grande and back to the canyon rim. This will be roughly a 5 mile hike with the first mile downhill, the next three on a good flat trail, and the last mile uphill.
Take in the great outdoors and the beauty of the Rio Grande National Monument, visit rich and sparsely visited petroglyph sites, and let us teach you about local history, culture, geology, and natural history.
Trip includes a healthy and homemade trailside lunch.
If you are looking to get the most out of exploring the Taos Area, this is the way to do it!
