Join us this October 11-13 on the best fly fishing trip in the southwest! We are accepting reservations for 6 people, so if you are interested it is best that you call now! *as overflow occurs we will set a date for the next trip*
Our three day camp float through the Middle Box is an unforgettable experience that will take us into the heart of northern New Mexican wilderness and the canyon lands of the Rio Grande, home to the best scenery and most productive trout waters New Mexico has to offer.
Experience this world-class multi-day glamping and fly fishing adventure through the Middle Box section of the Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument. This trip is a collaborative effort between Far Flung Adventures and the pros at Taos Fly Shop. Taylor Streit, owner of Taos Fly Shop, is a long time Taos local and a Fly Fishing Hall of Fame member who has fished waters from Alaska to Patagonia, and he considers this stretch of breathtaking and isolated river among the greatest he has ever been on.
Aside from the guided fly fishing, guests can expect top of line meals and comfortable camping, fantastic rafting and fun class II-III whitewater, the best wildlife viewing opportunities on the northern Rio Grande, and interesting and informative interpretation on local environments and human history. A great plus to this trip is a stop at the confluence of San Cristobal creek and the Rio Grande, where the remnant petroglyphs of an ancient native american hunting camp adorn the scattered boulders beneath a grove of towering ponderosa pines; The San Cristobal camp is perhaps the most noteworthy and least visited site along the Rio Grande river corridor in the national monument.
We hope to see you there!
