Looking Upstream from the Middle Box Fishing Camp

With Summer 2017 now under way, there is no better time than now to start planning your family vacation–and there is no better way to step away from your busy life, disconnect from the digital world, and make unforgettable memories with your loved ones than a multi-day rafting trip.

Far Flung Adventures is looking forward to a great summer camping season this year, and we are really looking forward to having you and your friends and family join us!

Rio Chama Camping and Relaxin’

We offer a slew of overnight and multi-day rafting trips across northern New Mexico on the Rio Grande and Rio Chama rivers, though we do have a few brand new adventures that we would love to tell you about:

  • Upper Gorge Three Day: This amazing trip, only offered by Far Flung Adventures, will allow you to explore the upper sections of the Rio Grande National Monument. From the tranquil raptor habitat and low walls of the Ute Mountain area to the rapids of the Razorblades, this will be a wilderness experience you will never forget!
  • Guided Fly Fishing: Starting up again as soon as the spring run off is over, we will be teaming up with Taos Fly Shop to offer two and three day camp floats through the Middle Box section of the Rio Grande, some of the most pristine and productive trout waters in the US. Please email us at info@farflung.com for details.
  • Ute Mountain: This relaxing overnight trip begins in southern Colorado where the Rio Grande will take us on its meandering path as it slices through the high plains of the southern Rockies. This area is inaccessible throughout the spring because it serves as a nesting habitat for numerous raptor species and other migratory birdlife. With that said, as soon as the doors open for us on June 1st, the wildlife viewing in this undisturbed wilderness is spectacular.

Far Flung Adventures has been outfitting and facilitating outdoor experiences for over 40 years. Let us show you what we have learned about a quality wilderness experience. See ya’ on the Rio!
